Contromano

In Italian, Contromano means going against the traffic, the wrong way down a one-way street.

It’s the name of the newsletter where I bring my writer’s eye to stories, characters, relationships, details and questions that deserve to be seen from a less obvious angle.

To me, Contromano means exactly this: not looking where everyone else looks, in the same way and in the same hurry. It means trying to see better, going a little deeper, because it’s often in the margins that the most vivid part is hiding.

What you’ll find here

  • The Storyteller’s Eye: once a month, a piece that starts from a scene, a question, a detail, a human or narrative knot, and then widens the view. Reflections born from my writing, from the world of my novels, from what I observe in real life, and from everything that keeps asking for precise words.
  • Behind the Scenes: a writer’s working notebook. The creative process, the questions that arise in front of a blank page, and the unexpected discoveries made while writing a book.
  • Updates: all the news about my books. New releases, discounts and promotions, chances to meet readers. So you always know what’s cooking.

Plus:

  • A free book right away: when you subscribe to the newsletter, you’ll immediately receive one of my ebooks as a gift.
  • Previews and exclusive content: the first chapters of my new novels before anyone else, and pieces written only for subscribers.

So if you love stories, inside and outside of books, if you care about characters, bonds, turning points and carefully chosen words, then you’re in the right place!

Contromano, the less obvious side of stories.
